We are pleased that almost all our students are now well settled and back into good habits after a summer that saw our Years 11 and 13 cohorts achieve the best exam results in the history of the school and the Isle of Man. This is testament to the hard work of all our students, their parents and carers and the staff here at Ballakermeen. We are both delighted and very proud.
A Level Headlines:
· 38% of all entries were graded A*A
· 62% of all entries were graded A*-B
· 82% of all entries were graded A*-C
These results are truly outstanding and in line with outcomes achieved by some of the selective schools in our neighbouring jurisdictions.
GCSE Headlines:
· 21% of all entries were graded A*A
· 77% of all entries were graded A*-C
· 77% of students achieved 5 grades at A*-C
· 68% of students achieved 5 grades at A*-C including English Language and Maths
These results are an enormous improvement on what has been achieved previously, but it is not luck! As a school community of students and staff together, we are making huge strides forward in creating a warm, welcoming and friendly school where calmness, order and focus are the norm … but we are not complacent! We know there is still work to be done and we aspire to continually improve.
We would like to take this opportunity to wish all of our leavers the very best in their future endeavours.
