Our Mission, Values and Vision
Over the last academic year (2019-2020) we have been thinking long and hard about what learning attributes and values we want to instil in our students. After a lot of consideration and consultation with both staff and students, we have developed ‘The Ballakermeen Learner’.
The Ballakermeen Learner consists of four learning attributes; Ready, Reflective, Knowledgeable and Ambitious and three values; Kindness, Honesty and Respect. This year, we will be working hard to embed these attributes and values across the school and we want all of our students to understand their importance.
Inspiring and supporting our students, enabling them to become confident and capable citizens.
We believe in the transformative power of education; are passionate about teaching and learning; celebrate our diversity and recognize everyone has a path of personal development; take pride in nurturing strong partnerships with parents and our community; and are committed to promoting the physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing of students and staff.
We want our students to have a strong sense of self-worth, respect for others, an awareness of the world and the positive contribution they can make, and the skills, attitudes and qualifications to succeed in life.
