Theatre Hire

The Studio Theatre is available for hire by all members of the island’s community. The theatre is suitable for a range of events including theatrical and musical performances, presentations and film screenings. With seating for an audience of 184 and a selection of audio and visual equipment, the theatre is equipped for a variety of uses and our friendly team will be happy to discuss your needs from the outset.

Included within the cost of hire is the Studio Theatre’s dedicated green room which is equipped with makeup mirrors, toilets and showers; a perfect space for your performers or support team to relax behind the scenes.

Pricing

Rehearsal Purposes: £25.00 per hour

Performance/Event Purposes: £35.00 per hour

A schedule of rehearsal and performance times will be set out in the Booking Form (this must include time for all parties involved in the booking to finish the event, tidy up and leave the building). The minimum hire time is 2 hours.

The Refreshment Servery is available for hire at £25.00 per show and the user must provide their own personnel to manage this.

Technical Assistance

The Studio is not responsible for supplying technical assistance; however, it has the capacity to provide a member of technical staff on request, at an additional charge (subject to availability). This should be arranged at the time of booking.

Exterior technicians must have an induction session in the Theatre with a member of the Studio theatre Team to become acclimatised with the technical aspects of the Studios equipment. This staff member's time will be charged for at the Theatre Technician rate. Any booking that requires use of different desks/devices (lights, sound, projections, etc.) must have at least two acclimatised technicians to operate this type of event. All microphones must be allocated, collected, and controlled by the allocated technician.
