At Ballakermeen, we aspire for students to thrive academically; flourish and grow as young people. When they leave us they will have a strong sense of self, their place in the world and the agency to fulfil their potential. Achieving this ambition for our students requires excellent pastoral care, and a rich, inspiring curriculum that will equip them with the knowledge they need to develop their sense of self and empower them to fulfil their potential.
Our Key Stage 3 (Years 7-9) curriculum spans three years and allows students to study a broad and varied range of subjects. At Key Stage 4, students are afforded the opportunity to select to study four option choices alongside the core subjects of Maths, English, Science, PSHE, PE and RE. A range of qualifications are available including GCSEs, BTECs and SQAs. Students can also choose to study at the University College Isle of Man one morning per week.
