Last Wednesday, we celebrated our annual Prize-Giving Ceremony in the Studio Theatre at Ballakermeen.
We were honoured to welcome Mrs S. Maltby MHK, Mrs C.A. Corlett MHK, Mr C. Thomas MHK, Mr P. Craine, The Worshipful the Mayor of Douglas, Councillor Steven Crellin J.P., BHS Parent Governor Councillor Karel Ver Elst, and Education Council Governor Mr Ian Townsend, and we thank them sincerely for joining us.
Alongside the presentation of awards, we were treated to outstanding musical performances from our talented students: Alyssandra (Year 8 ) performing ‘When I Am Older’ from our upcoming school show Dare to Dream Jr, Arlo (Year 11) performing Debussy’s ‘La Fille aux Cheveux de Lin’ on piano, Josh (Year 13) performing ‘Sweet Child O’ Mine’ by Guns N’ Roses on guitar, and Scarlet (Year 12) performing ‘Maybe This Time’ from Cabaret.
The true stars of the day were, of course, our exceptional prize-winning students. We were immensely proud to recognise their achievements and to celebrate the success, talent, and spirit that make our school community so special.
Thank you to all our students for their continued effort and dedication - we are very proud of you all!
