Well done to the Year 8 boys who took part in yesterday’s hockey tournament. Competing against St Ninians, Ramsey, Castle Rushen and QE2, the team remained undefeated across all matches, showcasing some excellent hockey throughout.

Captain Sam had an outstanding tournament, scoring multiple goals and earning the Umpires’ Player of the Tournament award. Marcus also delivered a brilliant performance, combining skilful dribbling with multiple goals, and was deservedly named Coaches’ Player of the Tournament.

A special mention goes to Finley in goal, who made a series of exceptional saves to secure multiple clean sheets. Rory and Aarav were outstanding in defence, making crucial interceptions and ensuring that very few goals were conceded. Danny, despite limited hockey experience, made a strong contribution on the pitch with some important defensive work.

Up front, Aedan and Fin were solid, with Aedan consistently finding attacking positions and providing an excellent outlet for Sam, leading to several goals.

An incredible team effort, Year 8 hockey champions!
