Year 8 students recently put their German language skills to good use by designing TT information leaflets to help welcome the many German-speaking visitors who travelled to the Isle of Man during the TT fortnight!

Their leaflets were displayed at the airport, where arriving visitors had the opportunity to view the students' work and vote for their favourite design via a QR code.

As well as being a fun and creative project, it also highlighted the value of learning languages. German is regularly ranked among the most sought-after foreign languages by UK employers, alongside French and Mandarin - all of which are taught at Ballakermeen High School.
