We were delighted to welcome several units of the Royal Navy to Ballakermeen over the TT period. Representatives from Royal Navy Headquarters Northern England and the Isle of Man, submariners from HMS Artful and HMS Vigilant, Royal Marines from Leeds Detachment, and Officer Cadets from the University Royal Navy Units of Leeds, Manchester and Yorkshire spent time at the school as part of their visit to the Island. We are at the beginning of what we hope will be a growing and strengthening partnership that will directly benefit all our students.
This year the team gave our old canteen a makeover, making the space a brighter and fresher space for students to take lunch.
Mr Corrin was particularly pleased to welcome the Royal Navy saying, “It is a privilege to develop this partnership with the Royal Navy, whose values align very much with our own. As part of their community contribution whilst on the Island they have transformed this space, and we look forward to working together in future years.”
