Last night and this morning, Ballakermeen was proud to once again host the Isle of Man’s annual Higher Education Fair, now celebrating its 40th year.
With 40 representatives from a wide range of UK universities, on-Island providers and career pathways, the Fair continues to be an invaluable opportunity for students to access expert advice, ask questions and explore the many options available to them beyond school.
Our fantastic Canteen team, led by James, provided a wonderful evening meal for delegates and guests, followed by an excellent buffet lunch today. The occasion was made even more special by a celebratory homemade three-tier cake, created by Antoinette to mark the Fair’s 40th anniversary.
We extend our sincere thanks to all the delegates who travelled to be with us. Your continued support helps ensure that this event remains such an important part of the educational calendar for young people across the Island.
A special thank you must also go to Miss Hall, Deputy Head of Sixth Form, whose hard work and dedication once again ensured the smooth running of the Fair. We are incredibly grateful for everything she has done to make the event such a success. We would also like to thank our Senior Prefects, who were excellent ambassadors for the school and provided invaluable support throughout.
It has been a pleasure to welcome so many familiar faces and first-time visitors to Ballakermeen. Thank you to everyone who helped make this year's Higher Education Fair such a memorable and successful event.
