The final day of term saw the return of Balla's Got Talent, with eight finalists taking to the stage to perform in front of an audience of their peers, as well as our judges: Mr Corrin, Mr Sturnick and Mrs Ryder-Clague.
Huge congratulations to the overall winners: Elias, Kiann, Finley and Jan (all Year 7), who united to form their own band and gave a spirited performance of Teenage Dirtbag by Wheatus!
The show featured a fantastic variety of talents. Ian (Year 9) performed Liszt's Nocturne No. 3 in A-flat Major on the piano, while Abhinav (Year 8) impressed with an electric guitar solo to Hotel California by the Eagles. Emily (Year 7) showcased her singing talent, Kian (Year 9) amazed the audience with a series of card magic tricks, Albert (Year 7) performed a piano piece, Sami (Year 8) demonstrated his impressive Geometry Dash gaming skills, and Imogen, Gracie, Tais and Myla (all Year 7) wowed the audience with a choreographed dance routine to Elton John's I'm Still Standing.
Congratulations again to our winners, and a huge well done to all of our finalists for the courage and confidence they showed in performing on stage. It was a fantastic way to round off the summer term and a wonderful celebration of the many talents we have here at Ballakermeen.
