We are delighted to share some further fantastic news about former BHS student Patience Gore. After winning the Public Choice Vote at the 2025 Isle of Man Sovereign Art Foundation Students Prize in November for her striking oil painting ‘Ornamental Absence - The Melancholy of the Forgotten Mother’, her work has now progressed to the Global Students Prize.
Established in 2021, the Global Students Prize brings together winning artworks from the previous year’s Students Prize competitions across participating countries. From this shortlist, a Global Judges’ Prize winner and a Global Public Vote Prize winner will be selected.
Public voting is open now and closes on 30 January, with winners announced on 3 February. You can view all shortlisted artworks and vote here: https://www.sovereignartfoundation.com/sp-global/
Congratulations Patience - it is wonderful to see your work gaining international recognition!
