Students reported to be using Omegle
It has come to our attention that some younger children are once again using or attempting to use Omegle chat site.
Omegle is a website that pairs random strangers for live text or video chats. It first launched in 2009 and its slogan is “Talk to strangers!” There are a range of concerns that have been raised around young people inadvertently accessing risky unmoderated content.
The Online Safety Centre has provided this guidance for parents which you can disseminate should you have concerns.
